Laurier Students use Humour to raise Money for Arts After School Kids.

On Thursday March 28, 2013 Brantford Laurier University hosted a fundraiser for Arts After School Kids Inc.

Professor Peter Farrugia taught a class on humor for the last semester and the group wanted to to do something that was fun, displaying the information on humor they learned for the class.

The students planned and implemented a fundraiser with display booths, raffle table, free popcorn and throw a pie in a professor’s face which was a big hit! One of the students had volunteered at AASK last year and subsequently nominated AASK to be their charity of choice to donate to.

The group raised $546.14 that was donated to Arts After School Kids Inc.

It was fantastic all day event that ran from 10:00-3:00 with about 100 students and faculty attending.
